Japan Illustrators' Association 2025 Bronze winner,

Carley Weed, or NYROOM, is a Baltimore-based illustrator pursuing her BFA at Towson University. Her essence has been described as detail-oriented, dynamic, and maximalist. Often delighting in intricate linework.

Frequently in her work, she loudly projects her interests, commonly featuring or referencing the DDR-like dance game Pump it Up, Japanese culture, and moshing. Perhaps hoping someone will engage in a passionate discussion about these topics with them. Occasionally on Instagram, you’ll get very familiar with her fleetingly obsessive musical fixations from her ramblings in the notes of her posts.
